Privacy Policy

This privacy policy addresses the ways in which Get Girls in STEM collects and uses information. If you have questions, please use the contact form (found under the "Contact Me") tab to address it. If you do not agree to the terms of the policy, please refrain from using this site.

What's collected?

This website uses Wix analytics as well as the plugin Visitor Analytics. This collects information such as location (by country and city), IP address, referring sites, and device type. No personal information (name, email) is collected unless provided in the contact form.

What's it used for?

The information provided/collected will not be sold or rented to anyone, now or in the future.

Any information provided in the contact form will be used to respond to messages site visitors may send. One of my aims is to connect with various people and organizations around the world that share the same goal - to encourage young women to pursue occupations in the STEM field. Messaging others helps both organizations to grow and reach larger audiences.

Any information collected by the analytics programs will be used to help Get Girls in STEM better serve the target audience. Additionally, visitors' locations will be summarized in a report to the Council to demonstrate this project has made a quantifiable impact on the world. This will be reported only as a summary, and will not be linked to personally identifiable information that could identify an individual. Get Girls in STEM will not share any information past July 15th, 2020. After this date, information may be collected, but it will not be included in the report.

Please refer to Wix.com's main website for a more detailed report of their analytics. This privacy policy may change from time to time, but all updates will be posted on this page.

TLDR; Before July 15th, 2020, visitors' locations will be collected and summarized in a report to Council for completion of the Gold Award project.
